Full Transcript #
Jason Hoschouer: Hey, what’s going on, guys? MC here from MotorCop Mindset.
Joining me at MCP today is Dr. John Jaquish from X3 Bar
. How you
doing, sir?
Dr. John Jaquish: Fantastic.
Jason Hoschouer: Thanks for coming out to the PD.
Dr. John Jaquish: Thanks for having me.
Jason Hoschouer: Absolutely.
Dr. John Jaquish: Yeah.
Jason Hoschouer: So you brought us a secret weapon.
Dr. John Jaquish: Yes. This is the Elite Band that’s going to be sold separately
with X3 Bar
. And you can see the size of my pinky and the thickness
of those two bands together. This is at extension for the average height
individual, it’s going to be about 500 pounds. But, of course, in the middle
it’ll be 300 pounds, and at the bottom it’ll be 100 pounds. So you get to
fatigue multiple ranges of motion.
Jason Hoschouer: Right about there. Right about there.
Dr. John Jaquish: Well, we’re going to try right there.
Jason Hoschouer: Holy shit. All right.
Dr. John Jaquish: So, yeah. So we get this between the deltoid and the tricep, a
little lower. There we go. So when you’re ready here, I’ll go back here. When
you’re ready, so keep going. See? You’re all good. Now go a little further.
You’re short of that 500 pounds. Okay, bring it back to about right here. Okay,
now up again. The dog has to get involved. Okay.
Speaker 3: So the dog here at MCPD, she’s very excited about.
Dr. John Jaquish: The dog really wants to get involved.
Jason Hoschouer: And through the magic of editing, 100.
Dr. John Jaquish: All right. Keep it a little more level. Yeah, it is for-
Jason Hoschouer: It is brutal.
Dr. John Jaquish: It is for really serious strength-
Jason Hoschouer: Now let me bring out what I’ve been using here. This was the
heaviest one I’ve been using.
Dr. John Jaquish: Right. And so you double it and then just look at the
thickness difference here versus here. And then there’s a width difference too.
Jason Hoschouer: Man, that thing is-
Dr. John Jaquish: It’s a monster. It’s called the Elite Band. I think the top 1%
of the people using X3 Bar
would be right about right for them. But
I think a lot more people will get it. You got one solid rep there.
Jason Hoschouer: See, there you go. 1%. I hope you’re listening, YouTube.
Dr. John Jaquish: Now, I mean just in the last couple of months, actually just
took another, my year two picture. Because on the website I have my start date,
six months and then one year. I just took the next one. And it was funny because
I looked at the picture and I go, “I haven’t really changed all that much in a
year.” And then I put them next to each other and it’s like it’s, I put on
another 15 pounds of muscle.
Jason Hoschouer: Holy smokes.
Dr. John Jaquish: And I’ve gone from a little over 11% body fat to down to nine.
Jason Hoschouer: Wow.
Dr. John Jaquish: Yeah. And it’s not the leanest I’ve ever been. In high school
wrestling I was down, I know leaner than that, I don’t have a percentage body
fat, but I was number one in high school. Number two, I weighed 130 pounds. So
now-
Jason Hoschouer: A little bit less than what you weigh now.
Dr. John Jaquish: 220, right. So this has actually become the perfect weight for
me. Now I tell people that you should be able to do minimum of 15. When I first
got this, I could only do seven. First got the prototype of this band, and now
I’m doing 14. Of course I say that you might get me on a film not doing that.
You don’t always shoot a better game every day. That’s what keeps from locking
out at the top, constant tension. Slow and controlled.
Dr. John Jaquish: Okay, now I’m going to do half. It’s like just keep going
until I can’t move. So the diminishing range is another reason why this is so
effective because you actually get to fatigue the strong range and then the
mid-range and then the weak range. You can’t do that with a weight. You can’t
even go to fatigue in a strong range with a weight at all.
Jason Hoschouer: You know, I think for branding purposes, that halfway point we
could call those MC reps, because that’s about, damn that thing, that is a
beast. What is the Elite going to run? Do we have a price point yet?.
Dr. John Jaquish: I don’t yet. It uses the same amount of latex as what others
are retailing for $70. But I had to special make these. I needed to make a
different track to lay them in. There’s going to be some added costs there, so
we’ll see.
Jason Hoschouer: All right.
Dr. John Jaquish: Probably right around there though.
Jason Hoschouer: All right, awesome. Well, I got to say, thanks for coming and
bringing that huge thing here. Let me embarrass myself on the YouTube, but we’re
going to go in and we’re going to record the next episode of The Crossover Show.
We’re going to talk about some results. I got some more questions for you. We’re
going to talk nutrition, so we’ll post in the show notes for this episode of The
Motor Cop Mindset on YouTube, how to find us on The Crossover Show. So until
then, cheers. We’ll talk to you soon.
Dr. John Jaquish: Awesome.
