Dr. John Jaquish: I am, yeah, probably more inventor than a scientist. Not everybody invents stuff. So, I developed a medical device 13 years ago to treat my mother’s osteoporosis. So, what ended up happening was we tested this device and it puts huge forces through the body. It’s called OsteoStrong.
Dr. John Jaquish: It puts huge forces through the body in impact-ready positions. So, if I go to trip and fall I’m going to protect myself like this. So, I noticed in these positions that people are seven times stronger in that impact-ready position than they are in the weaker ranges of motion. I knew I was the only guy that had quantified that, so I wanted to develop a device for muscular training. This is it. So, here I’m going to get in a chest press position.
Joanne: So, it comes with the bar. It comes with five different bands?

This is a chest press where I’m holding close to 300 pounds at the top, but the weight diminishes when I get to a weaker range of motion so I can actually go through movements and engage the body in accordance to the biomechanics. So, the weight gets heavier as the musculature is capable of delivering more power, which means a greater level of fatigue faster. So, the workouts are like 10 minutes, and there’s even more growth than you’ve ever seen.
