Paula Haddock: Colorado’s Best. Thanks for watching Colorado’s Best on Fox. I’m Paula Haddock.

Joana Canals: And I’m Joana Canals.

Paula Haddock: Well, the before and after pictures say it all. These people did not take pills. They did not go on some crazy diet. They simply changed the way they worked out by using the X3 Bar variable resistance system.

Joana Canals: Yeah, the inventor of the X3 Bar fitness band bar system, Dr. John Jaquish works with NBA and NFL athletes, bodybuilders, police and military teams and he says his tool is also for the everyday person and the aging population as well. He is here on Joana’s Fitness Fix to show us exactly how X3 Bar works. Welcome to the show John.

A portable, all-in-one home gym system

Paula Haddock: Yeah.

Dr. John Jaquish: Thanks Joana. Thanks Paula.

Paula Haddock: Absolutely.

Dr. John Jaquish: I’m thrilled to be here and talking to Denver today.

Joana Canals: Yeah. Tell us about the X3 portable gym.

Dr. John Jaquish: It all came out of some research that I did in a hospital in London where I determined the differences between strong range impact, ready range of motion versus weaker range of motion. There really hadn’t been the quantification of that. Now we have 11 studies that have been published in medical journals and in sports science journals that show that individuals grow muscle faster and get stronger by using variable resistance, meaning changing the resistance from the weakest part to the strongest part. But I was actually able to get to the numbers of what was the strongest we are and what’s the weakest we are. So I had to develop a product. Now, band training itself won’t do this because my wrists would be twisted and I would injure, because I’m holding almost 300 pounds at the top here.

Joana Canals: Wow. Yeah.

Dr. John Jaquish: But it might only be 50 pounds at the bottom. So the loading goes in accordance with biomechanics capabilities.

Joana Canals: So it protects the joints. You say you only need 10 minutes a day. When you purchase this, the X3 Bar resistance band training system, it comes with three bands. I’m going to demo-

The Ultimate Solution for MaximizingMuscle and Minimizing Body Fat

Dr. John Jaquish: Four bands.

Joana Canals: Oh four bands? Okay.

Dr. John Jaquish: Four bands. Right.

Joana Canals: Okay. So I’m going to start with some of the lower resistance,

Dr. John Jaquish: Yeah.

Joana Canals: What do you want me to do here?

Dr. John Jaquish: I wanted you to work with some of the stuff that I think women care the most about. So the dead lift really grows the back of the legs, the hamstrings. When those hamstring muscles become a little bit bigger and a little bit stronger-

Joana Canals: Yeah.

Dr. John Jaquish: The skin flattens out. So a lot of women think they have body fat on the back of their legs. It’s really just the skin that’s not stretched out because the musculature.

Joana Canals: I just need to do the X3 Bar variable resistance system to get rid of all that right?

Paula Haddock: How many reps, how many sets do you have to do?

Dr. John Jaquish: You go higher reps with this because you’re dealing with more weight in the stronger range of motion. So it aligns with the way the biomechanics work. You have to go to more repetitions, so ultimately higher reps, but you’re dealing with a greater load and you’re dealing with a more rapid time to fatigue, which means you trigger more development.

Joana Canals: I’m feeling that.

Dr. John Jaquish: There’s also a growth hormone factor that’s going on. When the body comes unstable, especially instability and loading, you start upregulating growth hormone, which assists in lipolysis and you lose body fat faster.

Joana Canals: Am I supposed to be doing the bicep curl here?

Dr. John Jaquish: Yeah.

Joana Canals: Okay. It’s like my heart rate is up.

Dr. John Jaquish: It gets heavier where you are stronger.

Joana Canals: Right. And we’re looking at some before and afters. How were so many people able to build so much muscle in a short amount of time, John?

Dr. John Jaquish: It’s just efficiency. So when you lift weights, you overload joints and underload muscle and that’s the issue. That’s the problem and we do this. When you look at runners run, they only use seven degrees of action behind their knee, sprinters. But we have 180 available. Why don’t we use the whole thing? It’s because we look for efficiency in our athletic movements, but when we lift weights, we go to inefficiency. But this changes that this. This makes perfect sense. It’s simple. It takes 10 minutes a day. I put on 45 pounds of muscle after turning 40 years old.

Joana Canals: That’s awesome.

Paula Haddock: I was asking you, have you always been this fit as an adult?

Dr. John Jaquish: No, I was not fit. No. I was in the medical device industry, so I invented the medical device that reverses bone density loss. That’s what I was studying in London. So after doing that, I made this observation on paper and when I realized what I really had and what I could do, I could make a simple product. This fits in a drawer. You can take it anywhere.

Joana Canals: Yeah. And you can take it on your travels. Let’s show on [Terell’s 00:04:27] before and after. He’s one of your clients. He travels a lot and he said that he gained a lot of muscle with this and he doesn’t use anything else.

Dr. John Jaquish: Nothing.

Joana Canals: Wow.

Dr. John Jaquish: Yeah.

Paula Haddock: I mean he was super fit-

Dr. John Jaquish: He’s in phenomenal shape.

Paula Haddock: But look at him after. Oh my gosh.

Joana Canals: He used it for six months and I’m just going to read some of his stats. One fourth of an inch increase in biceps, triceps, traps and chest. This is just a phenomenal tool. As we’re wrapping up, we got to wrap up, but if you buy this, it comes with the four bands and you can progress.

Dr. John Jaquish: Four and then this one is extra. So this is for a six foot tall individual like me. It’s a 615 pound deadlift and a 540 pound chest press. Now. I know those numbers sound like they’re high, but remember, you’re seven times stronger when you’re out here than you are when you’re here, so you have no idea what you’re actually capable of. When you start using this, you just trigger more growth, get leaner. It’s a lot more simple and streamlined and elegant.

Joana Canals: Yeah, those were the hardest deadlifts I’ve ever done. With a barbell, it doesn’t even compare. So if you want to try out the X3 Bar portable home gym, go to x3bar.com. This is an amazing product.

With X3, you train with greater force to trigger Greater Gains

Dr. John Jaquish: Thank you.

Joana Canals: Yeah. Still much to come on Colorado’s Best on Fox.
